Serbian citizen Edi Balša Piralić (36) is the third suspect in the murder of Ilija Bogdanović in Cetinje, "Vijesti" has learned.
According to "Vijesti", he is part of the cell of the Skaljar clan, responsible for the murder of Bogdanović on April 24, for which Serbian citizens Mihailo Čolović (48) and Dragan Ilić (45) have already been arrested in Cetinje.
The Police Department officially announced that Bogdanović was not an accidental victim.
"Officers of the Police Directorate - Regional Security Center "Centar", in cooperation with officers of the Crime Prevention Sector and in coordination with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, in continuation of the police-prosecutorial activities undertaken to shed light on the criminal offense of aggravated murder committed against the person IB (39) in Cetinje on April 24.4.2025, 36, identified a third person, PEB (XNUMX), a citizen of the Republic of Serbia from Belgrade, for whom there is reasonable suspicion that he provided logistical support and assistance to the perpetrators and that he created conditions for them to carry out and implement the criminal plan. Upon the order of the acting prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, a criminal complaint was filed today by officers of the Cetinje Security Department against PEB due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder by aiding and abetting against the person IB," the statement reads.
Police officers, as announced, have provided evidence that "unequivocally points to the action taken by PEB," who was found to have, falsely presenting himself under a different name and surname, "carried out criminal activities in the territory of Podgorica and Cetinje."
In addition to a national warrant, an international warrant will be issued for the suspect.
"Based on the exchange of data with partner services, it was determined that the suspect PEB is registered in his home country as a perpetrator of criminal offenses in the field of drug abuse, property crime with the highest degree of social danger and criminal offenses with elements of violence and document forgery. Based on the operational, intelligence and police-prosecutorial activities undertaken, as well as taking into account the manner, time and place of the criminal offense and the circumstances under which it was committed, the active role of the perpetrators in planning, organizing and implementing the criminal plan and selecting the victim, as well as other facts, it is unequivocally concluded that this criminal offense was committed specifically against the aforementioned person, where, as we previously informed the public, the victim IB had close contacts with operationally interesting persons and members of organized criminal groups, and based on all of the above, the Police Directorate denies the claims and placement of disinformation by certain media that IB is an accidental victim, by which individuals are trying to act hybridly in a calculated and deliberate manner, without any substantiation or confirmation. "This is an attempt to diminish the successful activities carried out by the Police Directorate in relation to complex security challenges," the statement reads.
