Danilovgrad police officers arrested two people suspected of illegally possessing and carrying weapons and explosives and seized firearms, explosives and ammunition in their illegal possession, the Police Directorate announced.
It is alleged that officers of the Danilovgrad Security Department (SB), acting on a court order, searched the apartment and other premises used by N.Š. (28) and found and confiscated a CZ pistol, seven rounds of ammunition and a pistol frame.
It is added that eight pieces of electric detonator caps with electrical conductors, 11 pieces of detonator caps and packages of explosive-like material were also seized.
Police officers reportedly found a PVC bag containing a bundle of fuses for detonating explosives, a mortar shell and a 105-millimeter Haub artillery shell casing, as well as a bundle with an electrical conductor.
Police said that the explosive devices found were taken over by officers of the Directorate for Emergency Situations for further action.
"N.Š. was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," the statement said.
It is added that officers of the Podgorica Police Department, acting on a court order, searched houses used by RP, in the town of Kuči.
"One rifle of unknown make and caliber, five parts of an unknown rifle, and 70 rounds of ammunition of various calibers were found," the police statement said.
They stated that RP was arrested on the order of the acting prosecutor on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
