American citizen RHV was arrested in Kotor. The United States is seeking him for multiple criminal offenses.
The Police Directorate announced that RHV was arrested by Montenegrin Interpol officers - FAST team, in cooperation with officers of the Kotor Security Department, upon an arrest request issued by the competent US authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Office in Belgrade.
The Police Department announced that RHV is being prosecuted in Los Angeles Superior Court on two counts of murder with special circumstances and two counts of conspiracy to commit the aforementioned murders.
"This activity is the result of close operational cooperation between the NCB Interpol Podgorica and the FBI Office, i.e. the Police Directorate of Montenegro and the Federal Bureau of Investigation," the statement reads.
The arrested RHV will be brought before the investigating judge at the Higher Court in Podgorica, within the legally prescribed time limit, for the purpose of determining extradition detention.
