A citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, AT (31) from Sarajevo, was arrested at the Šćepan Polje border crossing on suspicion of raping a woman 23 times in Germany.
According to the Police Directorate, he was wanted on an international warrant issued by the NCB Interpol Wiesbaden, Germany.
"An international arrest warrant was issued on April 24 by order of the local court in Heidelberg, in order to secure the presence of this person in the criminal proceedings being conducted against him on suspicion of having committed 23 criminal acts of rape against a female person in Germany, in all cases involving bodily harm. The Montenegrin police brought AT before the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica, who ordered his extradition detention. Further communication on this case is ongoing between the Interpol NCB Podgorica and the Interpol NCB Wiesbaden in order to extradite this person," the police announced.
