Judge of the Budva Minor Offences Court Katarina Vujačić Vuksanović imposed a fine of 400 euros on Belgrade resident Novak Pećanac (19) for illegal entry and residence in Montenegro.

This was confirmed to Vijesti by the President of the Minor Offences Court in Budva, Marko Đukanović.

Pećanc was arrested by the police along with two other people today on suspicion of preparing to commit a serious crime.

The Budva police filed a misdemeanor charge against Pećanac because during the check, it was determined that he was illegally residing in Montenegro, as it was determined that he crossed the border beyond the border crossing.

The inspection determined that Pećanac was not registered by the Police Directorate in electronic records as a person who had entered the territory of Montenegro. By doing so, he committed a violation of the Law on Foreigners, for which he was fined 200 euros.

The judge also imposed an identical fine for the misdemeanor committed by Pećanac, because police officers determined that the Belgrade resident was staying and traveling in Montenegro without a valid travel document with a visa and a temporary residence permit.
