Serbian citizen Nemanja Pantelić (28), who was arrested today in Budva in a police operation that prevented a liquidation, is wanted by Serbia, and he is a multiple repeat offender in the commission of criminal offenses, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.
The statement states that officers of the Interpol NCB Podgorica and the Regional Security Center "Centar" arrested "a citizen of the Republic of Serbia NP (28) who was wanted internationally."
"Namely, the NCB Interpol Belgrade issued an international arrest warrant for NP in less than 24 hours, after this person was deprived of his liberty by officers of the Regional Security Center 'South' due to his involvement in planning the commission of a serious crime. At that time, checks were carried out through the NCB Interpol Podgorica, which determined the identity of the person, as well as the fact that several national arrest warrants had been issued for this person on the territory of the Republic of Serbia," the UP statement points out.
The security institution added that in continuation of international operational police cooperation, NCB Interpol Belgrade "in a very short period of time issued an international arrest warrant for this person and informed the officers of NCB Interpol Podgorica, who deprived him of his liberty, about everything."
"He is a multiple repeat offender in the commission of criminal offenses - illegal production and trafficking of narcotic drugs (a total of three arrest warrants for this criminal offense), destruction or damage to another's property, obstruction of an official in the performance of his duties, as well as the criminal offense of embezzlement. The person will be brought before the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica within the legally prescribed period for the purpose of determining extradition detention," the UP statement reads.
