DUsko Golubovic controls all trucks leaving the port of Bar with illegal cigarettes, claimed one of the participants in that illegal business, fearing that the former secret agent would spoil the combinations of the criminal gang he worked for.
Members of that group write about it on the once-protected Sky phone application, and state that Golubović is taking "Marble" cigarettes from a warehouse in the port of Bar for "Siptar".
A group gathered around a police officer Miloš Mišurović They are continuously negotiating the details of this deal in 2020, revealing which criminal teams are "taking" tobacco products from the warehouse in the port of Bar.
In the same context, they mention the so-called Grand and Golubović clan, explaining that they do not do this criminal business together, but independently of each other.
Golubović was deprived of his liberty on May 9th in an operation by the Special Police Department.
The Special State Prosecutor's Office is charging this retired police officer with laundering money obtained through cigarette smuggling.
Certain Vlado, who was hiding behind a nickname on the Sky app KK, complained to Mšurović that their driver Hot terrified of Golubović, but also afraid of him.
On October 27, 2020, he asked Mišurović to meet urgently, and explained the reason: "I'm just a little scared of this driver of mine, because of Duško Golubović. Duško says he controls all the trucks from the port and has cars on the roads they go to see which trucks are going," he wrote to Mišurović.
The policeman, who had a nickname on Skye Globus, He then replied that Golubović must have information to do that:
"Well, that's his job, brother, but in order to watch, he needs to have information. Let the driver do his job, if he wants to do it. And we'll do ours," he writes.
Then they reveal the driver's name, and KK explains to the police officer that, although Žarko is sitting with them in the "mushroom", he did not reveal to that associate that they were all in a combination, but that he explained to him that the "basketball player" was taking out his cigarettes...
Referring to his interlocutor's fear of Golubović, Mišurović writes to him:
"I have raised everything in my power"...
The two of them also wrote about cigarette smuggling in a group chat, in which cigarette smugglers were hidden behind nicknames. Pauk, Hibiki, Tito i Falcon.
Towards the end of 2020, they were checking whether they could safely remove cigarettes from the warehouse in the port of Bar due to changes in the country.
"There have been no worse ones than these, they have not given anyone bread to eat. It is important for us to break through the police and customs, they will certainly disband these comrades of mine now... They were loyal to the president, because this is the current that is under Zoran, but formally the Police Directorate... Montenegro has never had such scum and thieves, and they are good, since their sons have started riding on us," Mišurović wrote to them on December 4 of that year...
The next day, or the day after the government was formed Zdravka Krivokapića, that crime team comments that the "Grand" are also afraid of cigarettes in the port of Bar, and that they have told their soldiers to no longer guard the warehouses...
That day, Hibiki says that he thinks it's their turn to do this illegal work, and Mišurović adds:
"I'm meeting with someone from the new government on Tuesday, brother, I'll see what he says."
Later that same day, Hibiki speaks out again, sharing information with the team that Golubović had taken some cigarettes out of the warehouse:
"Marble came out a few days ago, I got the notification too. That's the shit Duško Golubović is throwing at him."
Arrest and investigation
Golubović was deprived of his liberty on May 9th by order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office.
At the request of the prosecutor's office, on the same day he was arrested, the suspected former operative's valuable property in several Montenegrin cities, registered in his name and that of his family members, was frozen.
This was done because special prosecutors, in parallel with the criminal investigation, were also conducting a financial investigation against the suspect for committing the crime of money laundering.
In the investigation against the retired security guard, suspected of funneling millions in cash from cigarette smuggling into legal channels, Montenegrin investigators found part of the evidence in correspondence from the once protected Sky application and data obtained from foreign services, "Vijesti" previously reported.
Long-time secret agent, however, before the special prosecutor Tanjo Čolan Deretić, claimed that he had never used an encrypted platform, said after Golubović's questioning his defense attorney, lawyer Velibor Marković.
Marković stressed that his client denies any involvement in crime: "Golubović said that he had nothing to do with any criminal activity. He stated: 'If they find just one event, action, date, call or message, Montenegro doesn't have to judge me, I will convict myself. But that simply doesn't exist," the lawyer quoted Golubović's defense as saying.
He confirmed that the prosecutor's detention decision mentions correspondence from the Sky application, but that Golubović stated that he had never used that platform, but that he did not know if anyone else had mentioned it in any context.
Marković also said that the former operative of the National Security Agency (ANB) and the Police Directorate (UP) denies any connection to criminal activities.
He also pointed out that the files of the Police Directorate and the Prosecutor's Office "only arbitrarily state that this is a criminal activity of cigarette smuggling, without the essential characteristics of that crime."
After being questioned by an investigative judge, Golubović was remanded in custody for up to 30 days.
The judge made that decision. Goran Scepanovic, who sent him to the Remand Prison due to the risk of flight and the risk of influencing witnesses.
