Budva police arrested MM (44) from Podgorica today for driving under the influence of drugs. As police told "Vijesti", he tested positive for six types of psychoactive substances.
The Police Department announced on the X network that it was determined that he was driving under the influence of cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, benzodiazepines, opiates and buprenorphine.
In the afternoon, the police arrested MM (37) from Podgorica, who was caught driving a vehicle on the Budva - Cetinje road under the influence of the psychoactive substance cocaine.
"Both drivers were brought to the Budva Misdemeanor Court within the legally prescribed time limit," Vijesti was told.
As part of increased driver checks and controls on driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, the Budva police arrested three drivers yesterday, two of whom were driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration higher than two per mille.
TR (57) from Budva was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level of 2.11 per mille, and VM (37) from Cetinje, whose blood alcohol concentration was 2.05 per mille.
"The drivers in question were sentenced to 15 days in prison each, and were given a protective measure of a 4-month driving ban," Vijesti was told.
Also during the night, a Turkish citizen CTH (42) was checked and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol with a concentration of 1.11 g/kg of alcohol in the body.
In an urgent procedure, he was fined 475 euros and banned from driving for 3 months.
