It was decided that the session would continue today only behind closed doors.
Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović told reporters in the Parliament that they had made the decision to take a break from the secret part of the session.
The proceedings behind closed doors, as Šaranović explained, will continue throughout the day.
It was agreed that the public part of the Committee session would be scheduled for the beginning of next week.
The break was taken due to a collegium convened by Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić.
Shortly after 10 am, the session of the Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense began, which relates to information regarding the tragedy in Cetinje from January this year and the procedures for verifying the (non)existence of security obstacles and determining disciplinary responsibility in the security sector.
Since the materials being discussed are classified, the introductory part of the session is held in a "silent room".
It is expected that the Committee members will vote to open the part of the session on the vetting procedures for Police Directorate/Ministry of Interior officers, as well as on the employment of police officers.
