The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) has launched an investigation against Baranin Stefan Janković, who is suspected of creating a criminal organization and aggravated murder in complicity.
This was announced by the SDT, explaining that they had previously, in April, filed an indictment against the defendants Emil Tuzović, Stefan Đukić Mandić, Goran Milašinović, Milan Brajović and Ivan Čarapić, and Milovan Sekulović, charging them with creating a criminal organization.
The indictment charges the defendants Tuzović, Đukić Mandić and Brajović with the criminal offense of aggravated murder, and the defendants Milašinović, Čarapić and Sekulović with aggravated murder by aiding and abetting.
The SDT believes that they have found evidence that members of the Škalja clan killed two Serbian citizens, members of the opposing Kavač clan - Filip Marjanović and Vukašin Gošović - in the Danilovgrad village of Jelenak in 2019, and then hid their bodies.
"On May 15th of this year, the Special State Prosecutor's Office issued an order to conduct an investigation in a criminal case formed upon a criminal report by the Special Police Department, and thus initiated criminal proceedings against the defendant SJ from B., due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of creating a criminal organization and aggravated murder, as an accomplice. Previously, in April of this year, before the High Court in Podgorica, the Special State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against the defendants: ET, S.Đ.M., MB, GM, I.Č. and MS, for the same criminal offenses, and against MB for the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosives," the statement reads. They point out that both criminal proceedings relate to the activities of a criminal organization organized by the now deceased Mile Radulović and Alan Kožar in the second half of 2019 in Montenegro, and whose members included all the defendants, the deceased Damir Hodžić and other unknown persons: 'With precisely defined roles and tasks, in order to commit the criminal offenses of murder and aggravated murder, including the murder of the injured parties FM and VG, citizens of Serbia, members of the opposing criminal organization, out of ruthless revenge, for the murder of ZN, a member of his criminal organization and the godfather of the defendant SJ, and in a cruel manner, in the village of Jelenak, in Danilovgrad, in the house of the defendant MB, while hiding their mortal remains and removing traces of the criminal offense,' the statement reads.
They pointed out that SJ, who is being investigated, has been on the run for some time, so the Higher Court in Podgorica, at the proposal of the special prosecutor, ordered his detention and ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant.
