After being questioned by the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, Podgorica resident Marko Martinović was ordered to be detained for up to 72 hours.
This alleged member of the Skaljari crime clan is suspected of being an accomplice in a robbery at a jewelry store in the center of the capital.
His defense attorney, Željko Đukanović, confirmed to "Vijesti" that Martinović has been ordered detained.
"I can confirm that my client has been ordered to be detained for up to 72 hours. During that period, he will, as the prosecutor announced, be brought before the competent judge to state his position on the motion for detention, which the prosecutor announced she would request for the defendant... In his defense, he did not want to answer the prosecutor's questions, except that he initially stated that he had absolutely no connection with any commission of this criminal offense that he was charged with, and that he did not know of any robbery that occurred during the disputed period," said Đukanović.
