The Podgorica police, in cooperation with the crime fighting sector and in coordination with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, have shed light on the attempted murder of Igor Nedović (29), the Police Directorate announced.
The suspects are Tarik Muminović (21) and Arjan Rečković (22).
Nedović was wounded on May 17th at around 13.20:XNUMX p.m. in a bar in the City Kvart neighborhood of Podgorica.
According to police information, he is close to the Kavak criminal clan.
"By undertaking numerous operational, tactical, technical and forensic measures and actions in coordination with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, police officers identified the perpetrators of this serious criminal offense, the direct perpetrator and the accessory, in a relatively short period of time, and these are persons AR(22) and TM(21) from Podgorica," the Police Directorate said in a statement.
"It is reasonably suspected that on May 17, AR approached a table with three people at it and fired 3 projectiles from a firearm-pistol in the direction of IN, after which he fled in an unknown direction.
Police officers, through an extensive search of the wider area and the escape route, found the means of transport originating from the crime and which were used in the commission of this crime.
"Due to injuries sustained from the effects of firearms, IN was transported to the KCCG for medical assistance," the statement added.
The police said that their officers are taking search measures and actions to locate and detain suspects.
"AR is registered in the police records as a repeat offender in the commission of crimes with elements of violence and crimes in the field of fires and explosions, while TM is registered in the police records as a repeat offender in the commission of crimes with elements of violence, property crime and drug abuse, while the injured party IN is registered in the Police Directorate records as an operationally interesting person close to a member of an organized criminal group.
"Based on operational and intelligence analyses, it is concluded that this criminal offense was committed as a result of the actions of opposing organized criminal groups," the police said.
They stated that the Police Directorate is strongly and decisively undertaking activities to suppress the activities of high-risk organized crime groups, dismantle criminal networks, and that the proactive and reactive activities undertaken are a confirmation of efficiency in detecting the most serious crimes.
