Border police arrested Russian citizen NO (25) yesterday at the Debeli Brijeg border crossing upon entering Montenegro on suspicion of forging an international driving license, the Police Directorate (PD) announced today.
The statement added that NO was driving a BMW X3, and that he was being checked by border police and Frontex.
"During the inspection, he presented an international driving license, on which certain deviations and irregularities in terms of production were noted, as well as other characteristics that indicate suspicion of a reproduction of the document. The police suspected that NO had purchased the driver's license in question in Dubai for 300 US dollars," the UP said.
It is alleged that he was arrested on the orders of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Herceg Novi on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of forging a document.
