Four minors arrested for thefts in Podgorica

Officers from the Podgorica Security Department arrested four minors from that city for multiple thefts, the Police Directorate announced.

It is stated that, by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, HB (19) and a fifteen-year-old minor were arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of aggravated theft in complicity over an extended period of time.

"It is suspected that, together with a third minor aged 16, they broke into two catering establishments in Podgorica and stole around 1,2 thousand euros," the statement said.

It is suspected that the minors spent most of the money on buying cocaine and marijuana.

The Police Directorate said that, in cooperation with officers from the Budva Security Department, two sixteen-year-old minors from Podgorica were identified, located and arrested on suspicion of stealing a car.

It is suspected that on Sunday, in the Donja Gorica settlement, they stole a Golf IV vehicle that was parked on the boulevard and drove off in an unknown direction.

"After that, the Budva police located them on the territory of that city," the statement added.
