Berane police searched the apartment and market stalls used by FS (31) and found 15 packs of cut tobacco, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The security institution said that FS is a repeat offender in the field of economic crime, and that criminal charges have been filed against her on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illicit trafficking.
"Police officers of the Regional Security Center 'North' - Berane Security Department, in continuation of their activities aimed at combating the shadow economy and preventing illegal trade in excise goods, searched one person, found tobacco and filed a criminal complaint against him. Acting on a court order, officers of the Berane Security Department searched the apartment and the stall at the market in Berane used by FS (31), a returnee, in the commission of criminal offenses in the field of economic crime, during which 15 packs of cut tobacco were found and seized from her. The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane was informed of the event, on whose order a criminal complaint was filed against FS on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal trade," the UP statement reads.
