Nikola Čvorović, the leader of the SEP list in the last elections in Nikšić, was arrested for robbery

Nikola Čvorović, the leader of the Party of European Progress list in the last local elections in Nikšić, was arrested on suspicion that he, along with two other people, beat up a person in the Podgorica neighborhood of Zabjelo and then stole his purse, "Vijesti" has learned.

The injured party was diagnosed with serious physical injuries at the Clinical Center, and Čvorović is suspected of stealing his purse containing personal documents and mobile phone.

"Namely, last night at around 22.15:XNUMX p.m., while the injured party was in Princess Ksenija Street in Podgorica, he was approached by N.Č., as well as two other, currently unknown persons, on which occasion N.Č. struck him in the head with a suitable object, after which the injured party tried to move away, however, the two aforementioned unknown persons caught up with him, knocked him to the ground and struck him several times in the body, when N.Č. stole his purse," the Police Directorate announced, saying that the attackers then fled.

Police officers, as announced, undertook intensive activities within their jurisdiction to shed light on the event, which they informed the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, who qualified the criminal offense as robbery and on whose order Čvorović was arrested.

"Police officers are taking further measures and actions to determine all circumstances and facts, as well as to identify other persons who participated in this incident, in order to fully shed light on the event," the statement reads.
