The ABA League final basketball match played yesterday in Podgorica, between BC "Budućnost" and BC "Partizan", went smoothly, without incidents and with respect for security measures, the Police Directorate (PD) announced today.
"Police officers, in accordance with the law and their jurisdiction, carried out adequate planning and deployment of the service in order to respond to all security challenges, and therefore acted preventively in order to maintain stable public order and peace, before, during and after the aforementioned sports event. The Police Administration thanks citizens and fans for the demonstrated security culture and respect for the law during the aforementioned sports event, with the expectation that the next match, which will be held on June 7, will also take place in a fair and sporting atmosphere," the UP statement said.
Buducnost was defeated by Partizan in overtime last night with a score of 94:88.
