Three people from Novi Pazar, Serbia - EC (21), TM (18) and AK (20), were arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill Azerbaijani citizens AM (34) and Dž.A. (39) with a knife in Ulcinj last night, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
AM and Dž.A. were wounded last night in Ulcinj, and according to information from Vijesti, the attack took place in an apartment near Velika plaza, where AM and Dž.A. were stabbed.

"Following the activities that were carried out in a synchronized and coordinated manner by officers of the Regional Security Center South, the Bar Security Department and the Ulcinj Security Department, as urgent measures to shed light on the attempted aggravated murder in which AM (34) and Dž.A. (39), citizens of Azerbaijan, were injured with a knife, and which measures were taken throughout the night to collect and prove relevant facts, three persons suspected of having committed this criminal offense were identified, located and deprived of their liberty - EC (21), TM (18) and AK (20) from Novi Pazar," the UP said in today's statement.
The institution added that the people from Novopazar were arrested this morning at around 45:XNUMX a.m. in a facility in the Donji Štoj neighborhood.
"After the initial intervention measures and the on-site investigation carried out by the Senior State Prosecutor from Podgorica, officers of the Regional Security Center South took numerous operational and tactical measures and actions. Through efficient coordination and direction of police officers based on intelligence and collected information, mapping and reviewing a large number of surveillance cameras, reviewing the immediate and wider scene, establishing a blockade of the immediate and wider area, as well as increased border control by officers of the Border Police Sector, conditions were created for the rapid intervention of police officers of the Regional Security Center South to identify, locate and then deprive the suspects of their liberty at around 05.45:XNUMX in a building in the Donji Štoj settlement," the statement reads.
The UP also said that evidence has been provided that points to the suspicion that the suspects, last night, in an apartment in Ulcinj, as co-perpetrators, committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder in an attempt to the detriment of the two injured parties.
"The three suspects will be brought before the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, within the legally prescribed period, with a criminal report," the UP said.
The UP said they would like to thank "the citizens of Ulcinj who were very cooperative and who made available technical devices available to police officers, so that police officers could carry out real-time deployment and urgent measures to pursue suspects."
