Azerbaijani citizen Dz. A. (39) died from the consequences of a knife wound he sustained in an apartment in Ulcinjsko Polje late on the night of June 6, "Vijesti" has learned. According to the same sources, another Azerbaijani citizen, AM (34), who was also wounded in the clash, is currently in stable condition.
Immediately after the incident, the then unknown perpetrators left the scene, but the police identified and located them the next morning.
The Police Directorate (PD) announced at the time that EC (21), TM (18) and AK (20), from Novi Pazar, were arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill two Azerbaijani citizens that night.
According to unofficial but reliable information from "Vijesti", the conflict allegedly occurred due to a misunderstanding regarding solicitation for prostitution, which led to a verbal argument and then to a physical confrontation with a tragic outcome.
After the arrest of three Serbian citizens, the police announced that they had taken urgent measures overnight to solve the attempted murder, and that while working to collect and prove relevant facts, three people were identified, located and deprived of their liberty.
The institution added that the Novopazar residents were arrested at five hours and 45 minutes after midnight, in a facility in the Donji Štoj settlement.
"After the initial intervention measures and the on-site investigation by the Senior State Prosecutor from Podgorica, officers of the Regional Security Center South took numerous operational-tactical measures and actions. Through efficient coordination and direction of police officers based on intelligence and collected information, mapping and reviewing a large number of surveillance cameras, reviewing the immediate and wider scene, establishing a blockade of the immediate and wider area, as well as increased border control by officers of the Border Police Sector, conditions were created for the rapid intervention of police officers of the Regional Security Center South to identify, locate and then deprive the suspects of their liberty at around 5.45:XNUMX a.m. in a building in the Donji Štoj settlement," the UP stated.
The UP also said that evidence was provided that points to the suspicion that the suspects, that night, in an apartment in Ulcinj, as co-perpetrators, committed the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder to the detriment of the two injured parties.
The police thanked the citizens of Ulcinj "who were very cooperative and who made available technical devices available to police officers, so that police officers could carry out real-time deployment and urgent measures to pursue suspects."
