Montenegro was rocked yesterday by two monstrous family crimes that expose the extent of the violence that simmers behind closed doors - in Nikšić SG (59) beat his eighty-five-year-old mother to death M. G., while in Danilovgrad he is a citizen of Serbia DR (42) brutally beat his partner AV (42) in front of her minor child, leaving her motionless and bloody.
In both cases, the police were notified by medical workers, who attempted to provide assistance to the victims.
Doctors fought for the life of a 42-year-old woman from Danilovgrad yesterday - she was diagnosed with serious injuries to her head and chest, and her life is in danger...
He beat his mother to death.
The Police Directorate announced yesterday that the day before, employees of the Nikšić General Hospital had informed the Nikšić police on-duty service that MG had been brought to them with severe head injuries, after which she was urgently transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
"Immediately after receiving the notification, the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the incident, upon whose order further measures and actions were taken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident, where the competent prosecutor conducted an on-site investigation at the scene of the incident, in the apartment where the injured party lives with her son," the UP said.
They add that later in the morning, KCCG informed them that MG had passed away.
"The state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office was informed of the new circumstances and stated that the incident in question contains elements of the criminal offense of aggravated murder. By taking measures and actions to clarify the incident in question, police officers identified SG (59) from Nikšić, son of MG, as the person suspected of committing the aforementioned criminal offense," the UP said.
They point out that the implementation of further criminal measures and actions led to suspicion that SG, in the apartment where they live, inflicted multiple injuries on his mother MG in the arms, legs and head, which were characterized by a specialist doctor as serious, life-threatening bodily injuries.
"By order of the acting prosecutor, SG was deprived of liberty on suspicion of having committed the aforementioned criminal offense and will be brought to the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica for further jurisdiction within the legally prescribed period."
The duty prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica ordered an autopsy on the body of the deceased MG.
He did drugs, then beat up his partner.
On the same day that the domestic crime occurred in Nikšić, June 10th, in Danilovgrad, DR from Novi Sad brutally beat his emotional partner AV in her house.
He is charged with committing the criminal offense of domestic violence or violence in a family community resulting in serious bodily injury in conjunction with the criminal offense of facilitating the consumption of narcotic drugs, to the detriment of AV.
Police said that a request will be filed against him to initiate misdemeanor proceedings for neglecting his partner's child AV.
In a statement sent late last night, the Police Directorate explained that the Danilovgrad Security Department was informed by phone two days ago by employees of the HMP in that city that AV had been transported from the family home to the Emergency Unit of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, unconscious, with serious physical injuries.
"A medical examination of AV's face revealed serious physical injuries to the head and chest, as a result of which this person is currently in a life-threatening condition," the police said.
They point out that officers from the Danilovgrad Security Department informed the state prosecutor about the event, immediately went to the scene, conducted an on-site investigation, and took further criminal, tactical, and forensic measures and actions:
"Through operational work in the field, police officers from the Danilovgrad Security Department quickly identified the suspect as DR (42) from Novi Sad, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, the emotional partner of AV, who, after a search, was located in the territory of the Podgorica municipality in cooperation with officers from the Podgorica Security Department. During the criminal investigation, the suspect suffered visible injuries, as noted in the report of a specialist doctor."
"As suspected, DR previously brought alcohol and handmade cigarettes containing the narcotic drug marijuana to the family home of AV, which he made available to her. Then, as suspected, after they consumed alcoholic beverages and narcotics, a verbal and then physical conflict occurred between these individuals, during which DR inflicted life-threatening injuries on his emotional partner. After noticing that she was unconscious, DR fled, leaving the house, where his partner AV's minor child was also left without care," the Police Directorate said.
The Novi Sad resident was questioned yesterday at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, which ordered his detention for up to 72 hours.
"The suspect allowed his emotional partner to enjoy the narcotic drug marijuana, and then, while they were simultaneously consuming alcohol, by squeezing her in the neck area, pushing her away and striking her, he caused serious, life-threatening bodily injuries to the injured party," said the Podgorica State Criminal Police Office, announcing that DR was remanded in custody.
