Kotor resident AK (27) was extradited from Serbia to Montenegro today to continue serving his eight-year prison sentence, the Police Directorate announced.
It is stated that AK was taken to the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions to continue serving a single sentence of eight years in prison for unauthorized production, possession and trafficking of drugs and unauthorized possession and carrying of weapons.
The police explained that AK's single eight-year prison sentence was imposed by a verdict of the Higher Court in Podgorica on January 20 of this year, which took over the execution of the verdict of the Higher Court in Belgrade from May 14, 2019.
According to the police, AK was convicted because on February 2, 2018, in an apartment he rented in Belgrade, a search found more than 104 kilograms of marijuana, over 85 grams of cocaine, and a large quantity of amphetamine, worth around 2,7 thousand euros.
On that occasion, the statement added, illegally possessed firearms and ammunition were also found, namely two CZ pistols and 44 rounds of 7,65 millimeter ammunition.
