The Montenegrin Border Police seized a large quantity of cigarettes and cut tobacco, worth around 19 thousand euros, and prosecuted two people, the Police Directorate announced.
The police said that their officers checked KM (53) from Ulcinj.
"In his vehicle and at the stand, they found and confiscated 124 boxes of various brands of cigarettes with and without Kosovo excise stamps, as well as seven kilograms of cut tobacco with a total value of around four thousand euros," the statement said.

As stated, upon the order of the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar, criminal charges were filed against KM on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illicit trade.

The statement added that police officers, on the Rožaje-Petnjica road, stopped and checked a passenger motor vehicle with Bar license plates, which at the time of the check was being driven by G.Š. (56) from Berane.
"During the inspection, 6.176 packs of cigarettes with Kosovo excise stamps, worth around 15 euros, were found in the modified parts of the vehicle," the statement said.
The police said that a criminal complaint had been filed against G.Š. at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane on suspicion that he had committed the criminal offense of smuggling.
