Serbian citizen Ž.M. (52) was sentenced to 32 days in prison for driving under the influence of heroin, the Budva Misdemeanor Court announced.

The president of that court, Marko Đukanović, said that the judge of the Kotor department, Ivana Vukasović, Ž.M., imposed the sentence after it was proven in a summary procedure that on June 14, early in the morning, he was driving a vehicle that had previously been banned from traffic due to other violations while under the influence of heroin.

"The judge decided that before the decision becomes final, he should be sent to UIKS Spuž to serve his sentence, because there is a fear that by remaining at large, as a foreign citizen, he would thwart its execution," the statement said.

The Budva Court of Misdemeanors said that Ž.M., after serving his sentence, will be expelled from Montenegro based on a special decision.
