In searches at 47 locations, which were carried out today across the entire country, the police seized weapons, drugs, cars, money... from persons of operational interest and other persons.
This was announced by the Police Directorate, emphasizing that their officers from the Regional Security Centers "South", "Center", "North" and "West" conducted synchronized, coordinated, intensified activities, with the aim of "proactively combating violence and the misuse of firearms, defined as priority areas, as well as the discovery and seizure of narcotics, which are predominantly directed at members of organized criminal groups, persons of operational interest and those associated with them."
"The searches resulted in the seizure of 11 weapons (six rifles, five pistols), three magazines, 627 rounds of ammunition of various types and calibers, two high-class vehicles, 122 pills from the list of opiates, a small amount of the narcotic drug marijuana, and 18.300 euros," the police said.
Police officers from RCB "Jug" conducted searches at 12 locations. At one of them, in Bar, a gas pistol was seized from a person of operational interest, Niko Marljukić, for which he was issued a misdemeanor warrant under the Weapons Act.
"Furthermore, a Mercedes SLS vehicle was seized from persons of operational interest DP and AP, as well as items originating from a previously reported criminal offense," the UP said.
Vijesti learned that the suspects are Din and Alen Prelvukaj from Bar, and that the house of Dragan Pečurica, an alleged member of the Bar branch of the Škalja clan, was also searched in that town.
Police in Budva searched the apartment where Stefan Regojević lives, and seized 18.300 euros for appropriate checks.
Regojević is one of those accused and acquitted in a first-instance verdict for the robbery at the Nikšić Post Office, during which security worker Ljubiša Mrdak was killed.
"In two cases, the police seized a smaller amount of the narcotic drug marijuana and arrested one person in whose possession 13,5 grams of marijuana were found - SL, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of facilitating the consumption of narcotic drugs, and filed a request to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against the person MP for violations of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse," the UP announced.
The security institution added that searches were carried out at nine locations in the territory under the jurisdiction of RCB "Sjever", and that during a search of the premises used by the person of operational interest Lado Vuković in Kolašin, two rifles and 14 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers were found and seized:
"LV was then deprived of his liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives."

In Rožaje, the police searched the premises used by the person of operational interest Salko Kalić:
"Where was the gas pistol found and this person will be issued a misdemeanor warrant in accordance with the Weapons Act," the police said.
"122 different pills from the list of opiates were seized from the person SV who was in a vehicle that was checked in Bijelo Polje. By order of the prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, who was familiar with the event, SV was deprived of liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs. It is suspected that SV purchased the pills in Podgorica for further street sale in the territory of Mojkovac and Bijelo Polje. This person was also ordered to refrain from leaving the residence for a period of six months," the UP explained.
They add that the police found 357 rounds of ammunition of various types and calibers, pistol ammunition and two sniper rifle frames at Beranc G.Š.'s home.
"By order of the competent prosecutor, the found items were sent for appropriate expert examination to the Forensic Center of the Police Directorate, after which criminal charges will be filed against this person on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives."
The statement says that officers from RCB "Zapad" conducted searches at 16 locations:
"In Nikšić, during a search of an apartment used by NS (37), a Red Flag pistol and 11 rounds of ammunition were found and seized, in illegal possession, while during a search of an apartment at another location used by a family member of this person, MS (38), a hunting rifle was found and seized, in illegal possession. The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was informed of the incident, and he will decide on the qualification of the crime after the expert examinations are carried out."
They point out that, during the activities of increased control of persons and vehicles, police officers in Nikšić seized a "Porsche", with German license plates, driven by a person of operational interest, Boban Božović (37).
That car was seized "for further checks."
"Ž.Ž. (43), a returnee in the commission of criminal offenses and misdemeanors, was deprived of his liberty for driving a vehicle under the influence of psychoactive substances. He was fined 1.200 euros by the misdemeanor judge."

"Police officers in Pljevlja searched the apartment occupied by MJ (60) and found 12 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, in illegal possession. The prosecutor will make a statement regarding this incident after the expert examination," the police said.
The statement added that officers from RCB "Centar" conducted searches at 10 locations in the territory of Podgorica and Cetinje.
"The police seized a CZ M56 pistol of 57 mm caliber from Ž.R. (7,62) and he was deprived of his liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. Three rifles and 203 rounds of ammunition of various types and calibers were found in the possession of MJ in Cetinje. Appropriate administrative proceedings will be initiated against him. In Podgorica, the police seized a CZ M58 pistol and 57 rounds of ammunition for the same from B.Ć. (30) and administrative proceedings will also be initiated against him, while any misdemeanor liability will be assessed," the UP said.
They say they are continuing with "strong offensive activities": "Providing an institutional response to all identified security threats by implementing coordinated activities with a focus on finding and confiscating firearms and ammunition in illegal possession, combating drug abuse, controlling operationally interesting persons and those associated with them, as well as other actions within their jurisdiction in order to combat all forms of crime and misdemeanors."
