The Ulcinj police are searching for a 30-year-old man from Rožaje, who fled after he first resisted arrest and then physically attacked traffic patrol officers on the Ulcinj-Ada road in Štoj today, "Vijesti" has learned from several sources.
According to the same information, the incident occurred after a check-up determined that Rožajac, who was driving a Ford vehicle with Ulcinj license plates, was under the influence of psychoactive substances.
"After being told that he would be deprived of his liberty, he first punched a traffic officer in the shoulder, then pushed away his colleague who also tried to handcuff him, and finally ran away towards a beach on Velika Plaza," a source told "Vijesti".
Due to the configuration of the terrain, namely the low vegetation and trees, he managed to leave a trail.
"Vijesti" was confirmed by the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) that the guy is on the run, that a search is underway for him, and that he is well known to the Ulcinj police.
According to information from "Vijesti", Rožajac will probably be charged with the criminal offense of assault on an official in the performance of his duties.
