The Herceg Novi police have filed a criminal complaint against the former director of the Herceg Novi Health Center, Aleksa Đekić, on suspicion of abuse of official position for an extended period of time.
As announced by the Police Directorate, the criminal report was filed upon the order and in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Herceg Novi.
"It is suspected that A.Đ. (44), who served as acting director of the Herceg Novi Public Health Center from 2022 to 2023, and as director from 2023 to 2024, during which period he committed the criminal offense he is charged with, illegally exploited his official position and exceeded the limits of his official authority to obtain benefits for himself and other persons, and caused damage to the Herceg Novi Public Health Center," the police announced.
