Six vehicles were damaged, and five of them were completely destroyed, after a fire broke out in the yard of a house in the village of Kuće Rakića, the Police Directorate announced.
The police said that the Podgorica Security Department's emergency service was reported to a fire that affected several passenger motor vehicles at around 10:40 a.m. today.
"Taking measures and actions within their jurisdiction, police officers immediately upon learning of the event went to the scene and, in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, conducted an on-site investigation together with an expert for fires, explosions and accidents.
"It was established that on this occasion, material damage occurred to six vehicles, of which five vehicles were completely damaged, and further activities are underway to determine all the facts and circumstances related to the incident in question," the police statement said.
The police, bearing in mind the increased risk of fires breaking out in open spaces due to waves of high temperatures, drought and increased winds, appealed to all citizens to show the highest level of responsibility and to refrain from all activities that could endanger the lives of citizens and cause damage to property and the environment.
