Kilibarda and Paunović arrested in Belgrade, suspected of kidnapping Radulović and murdering Hodžić and Spahić

Marko Kilibarda and Aleksandar Paunović were arrested in Belgrade on an Interpol warrant from Podgorica, it was confirmed to "Vijesti".

These alleged members of the Kavač clan are suspected of the kidnapping of Milo Radulović Kapetan and the aggravated murder of Damir Hodžić and Adis Spahić.

Kilibarda is also suspected of the murder of Vaso Delibašić in Bar in 2018.

Media in Serbia report that as part of the operation to arrest Kilibarda and Paunović, searches were conducted at apartments in several locations in Belgrade, and that weapons were found, as well as two forged Montenegrin identity documents.

"Today, AP (34) and MK (38), Montenegrin citizens who are wanted internationally pursuant to international arrest warrants issued for them by the NCB Interpol Podgorica, were deprived of their liberty in the Republic of Serbia.

"In communication between the Interpol NCB Podgorica and the Interpol NCB Belgrade, the identity of these persons was confirmed, and their transfer to the investigating judge in Belgrade is expected," the Police Directorate announced.

The police said that it is important to emphasize that these are individuals who are registered as members of an organized criminal group from the territory of Montenegro and who, along with other members of this organized criminal group, who are a priority for the work of NCB Interpol Podgorica, are linked to a large number of criminal offenses committed in the previous period.

"AP is being sought for the purpose of conducting criminal proceedings before the Higher Court in Podgorica for the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization, and the criminal offense of aggravated murder.

"MK is wanted for criminal proceedings before the Higher Court in Podgorica for the criminal offenses of attempted murder in conjunction with the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosives, and the criminal offenses of creating a criminal organization and aggravated murder," the Police Directorate said in a statement.

The law enforcement authorities of Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia will continue their cooperation and communication in the exchange of extradition documentation and the extradition of these persons to Montenegro, the statement concludes.
