In continuation of intensified controls at border crossings, officers of the Border Police Sector in the North seized two vehicles with international arrest warrants from Germany and Montenegro at two border crossings, in Bijelo Polje and Rožaje, the Police Directorate announced.
According to the statement, at the Dobrakovo border crossing, during an attempt to exit Montenegro, police officers checked and seized a BMW vehicle with Ukrainian license plates, driven by Dž.Lj. (33) from Bijelo Polje. The check determined that the vehicle was subject to an international arrest warrant issued by the Interpol NCB Podgorica.
The vehicle in question was handed over to the officers of the Bijelo Polje Security Department for further processing.
"A BMW X3 vehicle was checked at the Dračenovac border crossing, and the driver, E.Š. (40) from Novi Pazar, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia. A check through electronic systems revealed that the vehicle was wanted internationally pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the NCB of Interpol Germany."
"The vehicle was handed over to the Rožaje Security Department for further activities," the statement concluded.
