The police in Herceg Novi seized five weapons, ammunition and an optical sight from DK (70), for which he did not possess the appropriate documentation, the Police Directorate announced.
The police said that their officers, acting on a court order, searched the apartment and other premises in the Kumbor settlement used by DK.
"Five weapons were found and seized from DK: an M70 hunting carbine, an IŽ 27 hunting rifle, a Parabellum pistol, a revolver of unknown make and caliber without a visible serial number, in illegal possession, as well as a Rohm gas pistol, without the appropriate documentation.
"280 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers were also found, as well as one military optical sight," the police statement said.
It is added that after appropriate expert examinations have been conducted, criminal charges will be filed against DK on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
Also, DK will be prosecuted for misdemeanors for not reporting gas weapons to the competent authority, the statement concludes.
