Four people arrested in Podgorica: Theft of vehicles, scooters, phones, cosmetic products, assault on a female worker...?

Podgorica police arrested four people, while they filed criminal charges against five people with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, for the theft of vehicles, phones, scooters and cosmetic products, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.

The statement states that GM (32) from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of taking advantage of another person's carelessness and stealing a Xiaomi electric scooter, which was parked in front of a catering facility.

"The stolen item has been found and returned to its owner," the statement said.

The Police Department added that a 17-year-old minor from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion that, while at the City Pool in Podgorica, he broke down a locker door and stole a backpack containing a Samsung S24 mobile phone, which he sold to an unknown man in the Konik neighborhood on the same day for 100 euros.

The statement also states that V.Dž. (18) from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of seizing a vehicle to the detriment of a person from Podgorica, while a criminal complaint was filed with the prosecutor's office against AV (18), who was with V.Dž. at the time of the commission of the criminal offense.

"It is suspected that they took advantage of the injured party's carelessness and stole his passenger motor vehicle, which was found on Božana Vučinić Square," the Police Department said.

The institution also stated that VR (38) from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of robbery against an employee of a business establishment, by stealing a certain amount of cosmetic products from that establishment, and refusing to pay, hitting and pushing a market worker, and then running away.
