Albanian citizen KB (40) was arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill another Albanian citizen in Tuzi this morning.
"The Podgorica Security Department's emergency service was notified this morning at around 6 a.m. by the Emergency Medical Service in Tuzi that a person had come forward to provide medical assistance with injuries sustained as a result of the use of a sharp object, who, after providing first aid, was transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro for further medical care. Police officers from the Podgorica Security Department, through checks at the Clinical Center of Montenegro, determined that the person in question was BB (31), an Albanian citizen, who had sustained an injury to the right shoulder blade, inflicted with a sharp blade, most likely a knife. A medical examination determined that BB's vital parameters were stable," the Police Directorate announced.
Police say that a verbal conflict occurred between BB and KB in a bar in Tuzi.
It is added that KB injured BB with a knife and then fled.
"Through further intensive operational-tactical measures and actions, police officers identified the suspect in this incident - KB (40), also an Albanian citizen, and, in cooperation with the competent Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, comprehensive activities were undertaken aimed at finding and detaining the suspect, which in a short time resulted in his location and detention in the town of Drume, Tuzi Municipality. On that occasion, a knife was found near KB, which is suspected of being used in the commission of the criminal offense," it was announced.
KB will be taken to the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, along with a criminal complaint on suspicion of committing the crime of attempted murder.
