Officers of the Special Police Department (SPO) searched the premises of the Danilovgrad police today, on the orders of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT).

As Vijesti has learned, the head of the Danilovgrad Security Department (SB), Marko Drobnjak, has been arrested.

In addition to him, Ivan Popović, Mato Knežević and several other people were arrested.

The SDT announced that, at their order, the SPO is carrying out urgent evidentiary actions against several individuals in Podgorica, Bar and Danilovgrad, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed criminal offenses such as creating a criminal organization, abuse of official position, etc.

"After completing the evidentiary actions being taken and the interrogation of the suspects, the Special State Prosecutor's Office will inform the public about their results and the decision on the further course of the proceedings," the statement said.

After searches at several locations, several of the arrested were taken to the SPO headquarters in Podgorica.
