Podgorica resident Žarko Vukadinović (40) was arrested today at Tivat airport, on the orders of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, which opened an investigation against him on suspicion of committing the heinous act of creating a criminal organization and abuse of official position.

Vukadinović's arrest followed his return from abroad.

Vukadinović was arrested as part of an investigation that was launched on Wednesday morning, during which the head of the Danilovgrad Security Department, Marko Drobnjak, Podgorica resident Mato Knežević, ACG aircraft maintenance controller Goran Čulić, and the director of the company "Pro imel" Ivan Popović were arrested.

The Special State Prosecutor's Office suspects Drobnjak, Knežević, Čulić, Popović and Vukadinović of creating a criminal organization and abuse of official position.

The prosecution has collected evidence based on which it believes the suspects were members of the criminal organization of the fugitive NV, who has close ties to high-ranking member of the Kavač clan, Milan Vujotić.

Drobnjak and Knežević were remanded in custody on Thursday evening, while the Higher Court panel, following an appeal by the SDT, reversed the decision today and changed the measure of banning Čulić and Popović from leaving the apartment to detention.
