Four illegally possessed weapons, bombs and explosives found near Beranec

Four illegally possessed weapons, bombs and explosives were found during a search of the house and outbuildings owned by ZS conducted by the police in Berane. Criminal charges have been filed against him for illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.

"Acting on a court order and in coordination with the state prosecutor's office, police officers searched a family house and auxiliary facilities located in the Beranselo settlement, Berane municipality, used by ZS. During the search, the following were found and seized in illegal possession: two rifles of unknown brand, one of which had a polished factory number, a pistol of unknown brand and a Walther pistol, two hand grenades, one detonator cap and three pieces of ammunition," the Police Directorate announced.

The police said that the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane was informed of the incident.

"By whose order will the weapons and ammunition be sent for expert examination, after which criminal charges will be filed against ZS on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," the statement concludes.
