UP: Vehicle seized from Polish citizen for whom French Interpol issued a warrant

The Border Police seized a vehicle from Polish citizen AR (23), with German license plates, after a check determined that an international arrest warrant had been issued for the vehicle, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.

"Officers of the Regional Border Police Center 'Centar' yesterday, as part of continuous intensified controls with an emphasis on combating cross-border crime, carried out border checks on a citizen of the Republic of Poland at the Božaj border crossing and confiscated his vehicle. AR(23) was checked, who was driving a Renault Clio passenger car with German license plates," the statement said.

The police said that a database check determined that the vehicle in question was subject to an international arrest warrant issued by the French Interpol NCB on February 3, 2024.

"The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the incident, and the person and vehicle were handed over for further investigation to officers of the Criminal Police Unit for Suppression of Criminal Offenses Related to Motor Vehicles in the Podgorica Security Department," the UP statement concluded.
