Dalibor Ljekočević sentenced to six years in prison

By the first-instance verdict of the Higher Court in Podgorica, pronounced today by a panel presided over by Judge Ivan Perović, police inspector Dalibor Ljekočević was sentenced to six years in prison for selling heroin, with the mediation and cooperation of several people.

David Ljekočević was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, Turkjan Šutaj and Damir Kuč were sentenced to three years in prison each, while Natalija Konatar was sentenced to two years in prison.

Stefan Stefanović was acquitted of the charge that he "cleared the way" for Dalibor Ljekočević when distributing narcotics to customers.

In the explanation of the verdict, Judge Perović said that it was indisputably established that Dalibor Ljekočević sold 2021 grams of heroin to Natalija Konatar every month from September 2022 to September 50, at a price of 1.500 to 1.800 euros.

The court found that in November and December 2022, he resold 97 grams of drugs to an undercover investigator codenamed "11111", with the help of Damir Kuč and an unidentified person, in the parking lot in front of the "Voli" shopping center in Zabjelo.

The detention of defendants David Ljekočević, Damir Kuč and Stefan Stefanović was terminated today.

Defendant Natalija Konatar was sentenced to two years in prison for selling heroin to end users and possessing narcotics in her apartment. Defendant Turkjan Shutaj was sentenced to three years in prison for selling heroin in January and February 2023, and possessing 187 grams of marijuana and additional quantities of heroin, morphine and codeine.

The court acquitted Stefan Stefanović and David Ljekočević of their alleged roles as “cleaners” and accomplices. The judge said it was not proven that their actions were in the function of committing a criminal offense.

During the trial, defendant Natalija Konatar admitted that she purchased heroin from Dalibor Ljekočević and continued to sell it.

Defendant Dalibor Ljekočević denied all charges, claiming that he never sold the drug Konatar to anyone else.
