Radula Božović (43), a member of an organized crime group, was handed over to the Montenegrin police at the Dobrakovo border crossing.
Božović, who was wanted for creating a criminal organization and drug trafficking, was taken into custody by officers of the Interpol NCB Podgorica, with increased security measures and assistance from officers of the Special Police Unit, from members of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"He was taken to the Higher Court in Podgorica for criminal proceedings on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs. RB is a person included in the case codenamed 'General' who was deprived of his liberty during a targeted search by the police in Serbia on November 18, 2024, pursuant to an international arrest warrant issued for him by the NCB Interpol Podgorica on July 23, 2024," the Police Directorate announced.
The SDT has submitted an indictment to the High Court against Vaso Ulic from Podgorica and 19 defendants in Operation "General". This major international operation, aimed at dismantling organized crime groups involved in cocaine smuggling from South America to Europe and Australia, was carried out on July 17, 2024.
That day, Vaso and Nikola Ulić, Vukan (Vinetu) Čoković Matić, Viktor Drešaj, Radomir Dobriša, Petar Miranović, Marinko Prelević and Veselin Paro Pavličić were deprived of their liberty.
In addition to them, the indictment also includes Radoje Zvicer, Dragan Pavličević, Vuk Vulević, Radule Božović, Ivan Delić and Leon Drešaj, who evaded arrest that day, as well as the previously arrested Slobodan Kašćelan, Milo Božović, Damir Mandić, Vjekoslav Lambulić and Radovan Pantović.
