The Border Police seized two pallets of alcoholic beverages worth over 51 euros from DM (11) from Nikšić, LSD and amphetamine from Macedonian citizen AS (32), and marijuana from a Serbian citizen, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
"At the Dobrakovo border crossing, at the entrance to Montenegro, a border control was carried out on a person named DM (51) from Nikšić, who was driving a Volvo freight vehicle. During the inspection of the vehicle, together with Customs Administration officers, undeclared goods were found in the cargo area of the vehicle - two pallets of alcoholic beverages, the value of which was estimated by Customs Administration officers at around 11.616,00 euros," the statement said.
The police added that DM was arrested on the orders of the acting prosecutor on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illicit trafficking.
"At the Sukobin border crossing, at the entrance to Montenegro, on the second line of control, border checks were carried out on Macedonian citizens from Skopje. On that occasion, with the use of an official narcotics dog, the narcotics LSD and amphetamine were found in the luggage of AS (32), who was a passenger in the vehicle," the UP statement reads.
As they said, AS was arrested for committing a violation of the Drug Abuse Prevention Act.
"Members of the Mobile Border Police Unit checked D.Š., (43), a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, on the Velika Plaza beach in Ulcinj, and found marijuana in his possession. D.Š. was arrested on suspicion of committing a violation of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse," the UP concluded.
