Zeno Tarhaniš (47) from Rožaja was arrested in Germany, on the basis of a warrant issued for him by the Podgorica Interpol office, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.
They explained that Tarhaniš was wanted on a warrant issued for him based on an order from the Basic Court in Rožaje.
"Due to suspicion that he committed a criminal offense of grievous bodily harm. He has been ordered into extradition detention by the competent judicial authorities in Germany and will be extradited to Montenegro after the extradition procedure is completed," the police statement reads.
In the same text, they state that Montenegrin police, at the Šćepan Polje border crossing, arrested a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) AB (42) yesterday.
"According to the international arrest warrant issued for him by the NCB Interpol Zagreb, in order to ensure his presence in the criminal proceedings being conducted against him before the Municipal Court in Rijeka for illegal entry into EU countries. This offense carries a prison sentence of eight years. AB will be brought before the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica within the legally prescribed period for the purpose of determining extradition detention," the UP said.
