AT (30) from Plav was arrested after police found a hunting rifle and 11 bullets in his vehicle, in illegal possession, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The Police Department said that Plav police officers, acting in accordance with the national priorities of the Police Department in the field of combating environmental crime and protecting natural resources, carried out increased activities aimed at detecting and preventing illegal activities in the field of hunting, and in coordination and on the order of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Plav, arrested one person.
"Namely, police officers in Plav, based on operational information, checked the driver AT (30) from Plav, whom they suspected of going hunting. On that occasion, a hunting rifle and 11 rounds of ammunition were found in his vehicle, in illegal possession. The State Prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Plav, who was familiar with the incident, stated that in this specific case the elements of the criminal offense of illegal hunting and the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives were met and ordered that AT be deprived of his liberty and that he be brought to further jurisdiction," the statement states.
The UP said that in the continuation of activities on this case, the police in Plav searched the apartment and other premises used by AT and on that occasion found and confiscated a Zastava ARMS rifle, a Zastava pistol and 11 rounds of ammunition, in illegal possession.
