Mojkovčani Andrija Filipovic and Milan Stošić The day before last, they are suspected of stealing two official cars of the Mojkovac Municipality. First, they took a Skoda lent to the Tourist Inspection from the parking lot in front of the Protection and Rescue Service building, drove it around and then returned it, and then they took a Ford lent to the local Protection and Rescue Service and crashed it in an accident in Dromira.
As reported to "Vijesti" by the Police Department, the case was reported a few hours after the theft by the coordinator of the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team, stating that two unknown persons had taken the vehicles during the night.
After the police discovered that it was Filipović and Stošić, and informed the prosecutor at the Bijelo Polje Basic State Prosecutor's Office, he stated that criminal charges should be filed against them in the regular procedure, that is, that the police should not detain them.
They are charged with committing two criminal offenses of vehicle seizure, as co-perpetrators.
The Police Department responded to "Vijesti" yesterday that they had been reported the theft of a municipal "Skoda" and "Ford" the day before.
They explained that the "Skoda" was returned to the same parking space after use, while the "Ford" from Mojkovci was involved in a traffic accident in the town of Dromira, Podgorica municipality.
"The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje was informed of the incident and ordered police officers to conduct an on-site investigation, collect the necessary information on the circumstances of the incident, and take further measures and actions to clarify this incident. An on-site investigation was conducted, objects and traces were seized that will be used in further proceedings, and video material from surveillance cameras at the scene of the incident was seized and reviewed, as well as from surveillance cameras along the route of their subsequent movement in the vehicle. The video material revealed that two people arrived at the aforementioned parking lot on August 25 at 00.25:01.25, started the Škoda vehicle, and drove away in the direction of the city. Furthermore, after an hour, at around XNUMX:XNUMX, they returned to the same parking lot where they had left it, and got into another Ford vehicle, which they started and drove away in an unknown direction," the Police Directorate explained.
They pointed out that through a series of measures and actions taken, they came to the suspicion that Filipović and Stošič were using the cars without authorization, but also that "they did not have any permission to use these vehicles."
"And they are not employed in the above-mentioned services," said the UP, adding that officers from the Mojkovac Security Department informed the acting prosecutor at the Bijelo Polje ODT about the information they had obtained.
Responding to questions about the accident in Dromira, they announced that it was determined that at the time of the traffic accident, Filipović was driving the Ford, and he was under the influence of alcohol...
"On this occasion, the vehicle was damaged and rendered undriveable," they said.
The UP added that after the accident, Podgorica police officers took Filipović and Stošić to the official premises, and that they conducted an investigation at the scene of the accident and seized traces that will be the subject of further proceedings.
"...The entire file regarding this event has been sent to the Mojkovac Security Department. AF was breathalyzed after the traffic accident, and the presence of alcohol in his body was determined to be over 1 g/kg, after which he was arrested and brought before a misdemeanor judge in Podgorica with a misdemeanor charge," the police said.
"Vijesti" also expects answers from the Municipality of Mojkovac.
WHAT THE LAW PROVIDES

The second paragraph prescribes sanctions for those who cause damage to a vehicle they have stolen:
"If the perpetrator of the offense referred to in paragraph 1 of this article has negligently caused damage to a seized vehicle exceeding one thousand euros or enabled someone else to do so, he or she shall be punished by a fine or imprisonment for up to three years," the law states.
