The Council of the Supreme Court of Montenegro extended the detention of Serbian citizens Tarik Mujković, Emir Crnovršanin and Admir Kačar until November 7.
This was announced today by the Supreme Court.
Mujković, Crnovršanin and Kačar are suspected of attempting to kill two Azerbaijani citizens in Ulcinj on June 6th.
"The Council of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, deciding on the proposal of the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica dated August 27, 2025, to extend the detention of the defendants MT, CE and KA, has issued a Decision to extend the detention of the defendants for another two months, i.e. until November 07, 2025. The detention of the defendants MT, CE and KA was extended due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder, by attempting to deprive the lives of several persons, citizens of Azerbaijan, on June 06, 2025 in Ulcinj, according to a previous agreement," the statement states.
The Supreme Court added that one person died a few days later from injuries sustained with a knife, while another person suffered serious physical injuries from the knife.
The Supreme Court assessed that in relation to the defendants Mujković, Crnovršanin and Kačar, there are reasons to extend their detention due to the risk of flight, taking into account that they are citizens of Serbia, as well as the nature and gravity of the criminal offense, the amount of the threatened sentence and the circumstances of the event itself.
"Previously, the defendants were remanded in custody by a Decision of the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica on June 08, 2025, and extended by a Decision of the council of that court on July 04, 2025, so that according to the Decision of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, the detention may last until November 07, 2025," the Supreme Court said in a statement.
