Budva resident Ivan Cvijović (40) is suspected of aggravated murder in an attempted aiding and abetting murder, when Tamara Stanojević was wounded by gunshots on the Cetinje-Budva road on September 7, the Police Department officially told "Vijesti".
The target of the attack, according to unconfirmed information, was Stefan Belada from Cetinje, an alleged member of the Škalja clan.
The police are searching for the direct perpetrators.
"In the first measures of the intervention to shed light on the attempted aggravated murder committed in Brajići on September 7th to the detriment of TS and SB, officers of the Police Directorate, Regional Security Center "South", Security Department Budva, in cooperation with officers of the Crime Prevention Sector, and in coordination and daily activities with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, have so far identified one person, located him and deprived him of his liberty by order of the prosecutor. The criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder by aiding and abetting is charged against IC (40) from Budva and he was taken to the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica for questioning within the legal deadline," the Police Directorate announced.
They add that their officers are continuing comprehensive police-prosecutorial investigative and operational measures and actions to identify other persons who participated in the commission of this criminal offense.
"The public will be informed in a timely manner of further results of the investigation," the police said.
