Filip Jovović arrested in Podgorica, tried to escape from police

Police special forces arrested 42-year-old Filip Jovović in Podgorica today, and XNUMX grams of cocaine were found in his possession.

This was officially announced by the Police Directorate, explaining that members of the Special Police Unit (SPU), who are responsible for emergency interventions in high-risk security situations, spotted Jovović, who was trying to escape from them.

"However, with the quick and efficient reaction of the SJP police officers, he was subdued and 42 grams of cocaine were found in his possession. In addition, there were two other people in the company of this person who were placed under control," the UP announced.

According to information from the security sector, Jovović is close to the Skaljar clan.

"In continuation of activities in relation to this event, namely the person FJ, police officers of the Regional Security Center "Centar", Security Department Podgorica, took measures and actions in cooperation with the prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, during which a warrant was obtained and a search of the apartment and vehicles used by this person was carried out. Two vehicles were seized for more detailed checks," the police announced.

They pointed out that Jovović will be brought before the acting prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica with a criminal complaint: "For further jurisdiction on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs."

The security institution says that their officers, through inter-sectoral and inter-agency cooperation, engaging all available resources, capacities and tactical units, continue to take extensive measures and actions to suppress the activities, bring under control and neutralize organized criminal groups and persons associated with them.
