The Budva police have suo motu filed a criminal complaint against Dražen Šćekić (24), Cetinje resident Vukan Vujačić (30), Serbian citizen Nikola Mirić (39) and another unknown person, on suspicion of committing a criminal offense - criminal association and a criminal offense - forgery of a document, the Police Directorate announced.

"Through the actions taken by the association, these persons forged documents and concealed the criminal act of theft, committed on the territory of another state, and made available funds and provided conditions for the committed criminal acts, thereby creating conditions for the commission of other more serious criminal acts, while also using means for degradation - the destruction of traces in order to remain undetected during the commission of these and other criminal acts," the police added.

Mirić was previously convicted of planning the murder of the now-deceased Milić Minja Šaković in early 2021, as well as for illegal possession of weapons.

"Police officers of the Budva Security Department have taken numerous other measures and actions on the basis of which they filed a criminal report in regular proceedings against the above-mentioned persons, and based on the obtained order of the competent court, they carried out searches of the apartment and other premises at certain locations, with the aim of finding objects and traces related to the criminal offenses and locating VV from Cetinje and NM, a citizen of Serbia, for whom the Police Directorate is intensively searching. The suspect VV is registered in the records of the Police Directorate as a member of an organized criminal group, while NM is also a member of the same criminal group, who was deprived of his liberty during 2021, and then finally convicted and served a prison sentence at the end of 2024, for the criminal activities of planning the murder of one of the leaders of a branch of an opposing criminal group and the illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," the statement reads.
