The Pljevlja police, with the support of colleagues from Nikšić and officers from the Crime Prevention Sector, have solved the case of arson on a municipal police vehicle, which occurred on July 1st of this year. Three local government employees were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident.
As announced by the Police Directorate, by order of the prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Pljevlja, NL (43) and MG (23), drivers in the Municipality of Pljevlja, as well as DD (38), an employee of the Municipal Police, were deprived of their liberty.
"Due to suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of causing general danger, by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Pljevlja, the following persons were deprived of their liberty tonight: NL(43) and MG(23) - employed as drivers in the municipality of Pljevlja and DD(38) - a municipal police officer in the Pljevlja Municipal Police. These persons are suspected of having, as co-perpetrators, set fire to a Hyundai vehicle owned by the Municipal Police in Pljevlja on July 1, 2025," the UP statement reads.
They emphasize that, in cooperation with the competent prosecutor's office, they will "continue activities to establish all facts and circumstances related to the incident in question, as well as to identify persons possibly connected to the commission of this criminal offense."
