Tow truck lands in Morača, Kosovo citizen dies

Kosovo citizen AM (57) was killed in a traffic accident in the town of Bezdan, on the Podgorica - Kolašin road through Platije.

AM was driving a truck with Kosovo plates that landed in the Morača River last night, and his body was recovered today.

"At the prosecutor's order, the body was sent to the Department of Pathology of the Clinical Center for an autopsy. The cause of the accident will be determined during the investigation," Maja Šćepanović, head of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kolašin, told "Vijesti".

The Police Department previously unofficially informed "Vijesti" that traffic on the road through Platije was disrupted.

The police were notified last night at around 22pm that an accident had occurred in Platije between tunnels 11 and 12. Teams of the relevant services went to the scene, but were unable to pull the tow truck out due to the nighttime conditions.
