Police will determine who attacked whom yesterday in the administrative building of the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) - assistant director of that institution Nebojsa Jankovic employee Vladan Šćepanović, or this one.
UIKS filed a complaint against the officer yesterday, and then against the assistant. Both reports, "Vijesti" has learned, present different versions of the events and details of the alleged attack.
Yesterday, Šćepanović told "Vijesti" that he was attacked because he wrote on the Facebook profile of a portal, commenting on the prison, that it was "a completely collapsed system and that it looks more like Dynasty than UIKS."
"Around 13 p.m., assistant Janković called me to his office for an interview. I came, and besides him, the director of UIKS was also there." Darko Vukcevic. He also told me that the reason I came for the interview was the announcement. He also said that I, as an employee of UIKS, should not have announced it. I asked him if I had done something wrong if I had announced it, and then assistant Janković joined the conversation, who started shouting at me, banging his hands on the table and telling me: 'Listen to me carefully'... When I asked him why he was shouting at me and why he was behaving like that, he stood up and walked towards me, telling me: 'Shut up, be quiet when I'm talking'. Then I stood up and asked why he was talking to me like that when I had done nothing wrong, he pushed me away with both hands and threw me onto the sofa", claims Šćepanović in a statement to "Vijesti".
He wrote the same thing in the report, which "Vijesti" has access to.
The prison officer said that Vukčević then stood between them, and that he asked the director to call the police and report the attack.
"The director behaved extremely correctly. I told him that I would file a report and inform the media about the mobbing and physical assault. I asked the police to process the case and emphasized that I feared for my safety," said Šćepanović.
UIKS, however, claim that the event unfolded significantly differently.
"Šćepanović was invited for an interview in order to share with the management any information he might have that would support what he had written publicly. He immediately began to behave inappropriately and violently, saying that criminals had been appointed shift leaders. When he was asked to specify what he was talking about, so that the police and the prosecutor's office could be informed, he attacked his assistant Janković. The police were immediately informed of the incident, and he was reported for inappropriate and violent behavior, hence his allegations presented to you, which are obviously calculated to avoid possible disciplinary and criminal liability," UIKS told "Vijesti".
They also state that the director of the prison system, Darko Vukčević, witnessed the incident, and that it will be easy to determine whose report was founded.
"The one filed by UIKS, or this one filed to avoid responsibility," the Administration said.
