Former Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić said that he has information that the Serbian security structures of the BIA decided that he should be liquidated, and that he has a witness for this claim whose name he does not want to disclose at this time due to his personal safety.
He said this today at the Higher Court in Podgorica, before a special panel presided over by Judge Veljko Radovanović, where he continued presenting his defense.
With the presentation of Katnić's defense, the trial of Zoran Lazović, former assistant director of the Police Directorate and former special prosecutor Saša Čađenović, charged with creating a criminal organization, abuse of office and money laundering, continued.
Katnić addressed the court and asked the panel to state in the record that if something happens to him or his family members, the security structures of the two states will not be held responsible, but rather the Supreme and Special State Prosecutor of Montenegro, whom he personally informed about all abuses, will be solely responsible.
"I have information that it has been decided in the Serbian security structures of the BIA that I should be liquidated. I have a witness whose name I do not wish to disclose at this time," said Katnić.
He said that he would answer questions from the parties in the proceedings, except for questions from Special Prosecutor Miloš Šoškić, but not from Special Prosecutor Zoran Vučinić.
Šoškić asked the court to record that Katnić read the defense, instead of speaking freely. Katnić added that he only used notes.
Katnić read the Sky messages again to his defense.

Milić and Senta, two hot-headed people, will be all sorts of things there,'" said Katnić.
He added that Veselin Milić, Chief of the Belgrade Ministry of Interior, informed the Chief of the Podgorica Security Center, Milovan Pavićević, on the evening of January 16, 2021, that Belivuk and Miljković were coming to Montenegro the next day, and that they "organized their arrival in Montenegro instead of arresting them for these crimes."
